Jade Business of the Year Award Trophy

Jade Wins “Business of The Year 2025”- and Yes, We’re Blushing

Well, Alamosa. You’ve officially made our year. And yeah, we know it’s only May.

Jade Communications is humbled, honored, and a little giddy to be named Business of the Year by the Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce.

Jordan and Josh Wehe accept the 2025 Business of the Year Award

This award means a lot. We’ve been internationally and nationally recognized for our innovation before. But to earn this one, at home, from the very people we serve, is extra special.

TL;DR? It’s about heart. It’s about hustle. And it’s about living out your core values, something we do every single day.

Because community isn’t just a buzzword around here. It’s a core value. One of our favorite things to do is to park our trucks, roll up our sleeves, and get to work in improving our slice of the state.

In 2024, we put this core value on full display by being one of the first organizations to raise our  hand to design, fundraise, and execute a large-scale mural for the community. The design is a celebration of all the wonderful landmarks and culture of Alamosa. And it’s lit 24/7, bringing safety and artistic expression to the 400 block of State Avenue in.

But our work didn’t stop with painting the town.

Throughout the year, we focused on making meaningful connections more accessible across Southern Colorado. That meant partnering with San Luis Valley Health to provide first responders with free, secure Wi-Fi, even in areas where cell service is poor or non-existent. It’s a small but important way to support the people who do life-saving work every day.

We also expanded fiber internet into more remote corners of Southern Colorado. Areas long neglected by lack of broadband access finally received broadband to work, learn, stream, game and connect with others. A worthy cause for the people that call the country home.

Each of these efforts was different in scale and scope. But they were all rooted in the same belief: when a community thrives, everyone in it feels seen, supported, and connected. That’s the heart of what we do.

Here’s what one chamber member said about us.

Cue the tissues:

Thank you to our community for the support, the votes, and for letting Jade be a small part of your big lives. We’re proud to call the San Luis Valley home and we’ll keep showing up everyday to keep you connected, protected, and moving forward.
