Spectrum calls it fiber-powered.
Your home is still on cable.
That’s not a knock — it’s just the engineering. Spectrum’s last-mile connection still runs on coaxial cable. Jade delivers fiber and advanced wireless directly to homes across the San Luis Valley and Huerfano County — built for Southern Colorado, owned here too.

Fiber to the street.
Cable to your door.
That last mile is the problem
Spectrum’s backbone uses fiber — that part is true. But the connection from the street to your home still runs on coaxial cable, originally built for cable TV.
That matters more than you might think. Because when your connection depends on cable, you can experience slow uploads, more congestion and inconsistent performance.
Jade doesn’t use coaxial to reach your home. In the San Luis Valley and surrounding areas, we build fiber where we can and deploy advanced fixed wireless where we can’t.

Why Jade isn’t 100% fiber
and what we use where we’re not
We’d be 100% fiber everywhere if we could. Local permitting and rural terrain mean we can’t trench fiber to every home on the timeline we’d want. Where we can build it in the San Luis Valley — Alamosa, Antonito, La Jara, Center — we do. We also build it to places like La Veta, Cuchara, and Huerfano County. Where we can’t yet, we deploy advanced fixed wireless rather than handing you a coaxial connection dressed as something more modern.

Real people answer the phones.
4.6 stars, 494 reviews, #1 in Colorado. We’re proud of that.
No bots here, only real local humans.
What’s different is what happens when something goes wrong. We’re local — 129 Santa Fe Ave, Alamosa. When you have a problem, you talk to the people who built the network. Not a call center.
We’d rather earn your trust than oversell what we deliver. If fiber isn’t available at your address yet, we’ll tell you. If fixed wireless doesn’t fit your situation, we’ll tell you that too.
