Jade Joins National Effort to Fight Against Human Trafficking
The Gist
- The internet is indispensable to the modern world. It entertains, informs, and connects us all. But there’s also a part of it most of us never see. We are joining the fight to bring light into the darkness.
Our mission is straightforward: make the internet fun, with a purpose.
The internet has completely transformed how we connect, learn, and live. Unfortunately, it’s frequently misused to exploit vulnerable individuals through crimes like sex and human trafficking.
As a family-owned, community-focused provider whose team members are out working in your neighborhoods and homes every single day, we believe we have a fundamental responsibility to stay vigilant and help protect those who may be at risk. It’s exactly why we’re proud to be a part of Operation iFAST, a nationwide push bringing internet service providers together to combat human trafficking.
Let’s look at the map.
Jade operates in Southern Colorado. It’s an incredibly beautiful place to live, but we aren’t blind to the realities of our geography. We are positioned right off I-25, a major interstate running directly up from the southern border. That highway is a massive artery for commerce and travel, but it’s also a well-documented pipeline for illicit activity.
Where drug corridors exist, human trafficking follows.
Sex trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. It’s happening in rural areas, in small towns, and right here in the neighborhoods our network serves.

“If Jade didn’t join Operation iFAST, I would’ve personally. This is a compelling mission and our location off the I-25 corridor means we can have a real impact in protecting sons, daughters, brothers and sisters.”
— Dax, Field Service Manager
We build the infrastructure that connects this region. But knowing how this technology can be weaponized, it’s time we did something about it. So, we’ve signed the pledged and have officially joined Operation iFAST (ISPs Fight Against Sex Trafficking).
Boots On the Ground
Because our technicians are driving local roads and working in your neighborhoods every single day, we have an operational advantage. We have eyes on the ground.
As part of our commitment to Operation iFAST, Jade is executing three specific actions:
- Deploying Trained Eyes: All field service technicians have been trained to recognize, report, and prevent trafficking in our communities while performing their regular job duties. If they see something, they are equipped with the exact, secure channels to report it.
- Arming Local Law Enforcement with Intelligence: We are working to bridge the gap between our local police departments and Guardian Group, ensuring our regional agencies know they have access to these high-level investigative resources.
- 100% Team Certification: All employees have officially passed Guardian Group’s training for recognizing and reporting signs of sex and human trafficking. Regardless of role, our whole team is committed to making our communities safer and stronger.
“I’m so glad to work for an organization that lives their mission. And with leaders that have a heart for making our communities safer and stronger.”
— Mel, Wi-Fi Wizard
About Guardian Group
Operation iFAST is a nationwide initiative that mobilizes internet service providers to disrupt trafficking networks. It is spearheaded by Guardian Group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is uniquely equipped for this fight.
Guardian Group consists of a highly trained staff of retired military, law enforcement, and intelligence professionals. They utilize advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) to track digital footprints and identify potential trafficking victims online. Once they have validated intelligence, they package it and hand it directly to resource-strapped local police departments at absolutely no cost.
Since 2018, their intelligence has helped identify more than 1,439 possible trafficking victims across the country.
The internet should be a tool for connection, not a vehicle for exploitation. Operating a business along the I-25 corridor comes with a responsibility to help protect the people who live here.
That is what having a purpose actually means.
If you want to get involved, Guardian Group runs Project 1591, a volunteer program where citizens with digital skills can actively help track down victims online. Visit www.guardiangroup.org to learn more, volunteer your skills, or donate to their mission.
